Welcome!
I appreciate your interest in learning about me and how the work I do can positively impact your well-being. As a Feldenkrais Practitioner®, dancer, and movement teacher, I continue to experience and witness the benefits of moving. I also see how pain and limitations in movement affect our sense of self.
My interest in the Feldenkrais Method took center stage after a dance performance injury caused chronic pain in my neck, shoulder, and arm. After seeing many specialists, it was one-on-one work with Feldenkrais teachers that finally helped calm the pain and empower me with tools to help myself.
I am deeply invested in helping people live with less pain, easier movement, and a sense of wholeness. If you’re recovering from an injury, seeking relief from pain, or interested in aging with expanded movement possibilities, let’s talk about how we can work together.
After many years dancing and 8 years teaching Feldenkrais, I was invited to teach dance and movement awareness to adults living with traumatic brain injury. This experience revealed to me the power of dance to make a difference in people’s lives. The movement, music, creativity, and community connected each dancer to him/herself and to the group in a true and meaningful way. Although I was the “dance teacher,” the class participants taught me far more about the vast potential of dance.
This was the beginning of a new path in my dance teaching career. After completing the Dance for PD® training, a program of dance for people living with Parkinson’s Disease, I began teaching weekly Dance for Parkinson’s classes at Ormao Dance Company in Colorado Springs and co-teaching a class called “Dancing Your Stories for Elders” at a local community center. My love of dance is re-energized with each and every opportunity I have to dance with people who show me the potential for human expression and connection.
I am a Guild Certified Feldenkrais Practitioners® since 2008, having completed 800 hours of training in a four-year program approved by the Feldenkrais Guild® of North America. Continuing education is completed to be recertified annually. Learn more
I have completed the Dance for PD Introductory Training Course and Advanced Dance for PD Training as a Wertheimer Fellow.
